Beginning in 2024, Stable Gray partnered with the North Omaha Visitors Center (NOVC), a tourism and cultural development initiative in Omaha, Nebraska, to establish a complete brand foundation and digital presence. Operating at the intersection of tourism, cultural preservation, and economic development, NOVC sought to evolve from a successful tour program into a fully realized visitor destination and community hub. The primary objective was to position NOVC as a credible, professional tourism gateway that honors North Omaha’s legacy while driving long-term economic impact.
NOVC emerged from nearly three years of North Omaha Legacy Tours, which had already led approximately 300 tours and generated an estimated $500,000 in economic impact. Despite this success, the initiative lacked a formalized brand strategy, unified messaging, a clear value proposition, and a scalable digital platform. As the organization prepared to transition from a grassroots tour effort into a city-recognized Visitors Center, the central challenge was to build a cohesive, strategy-led brand that could support growth without compromising authenticity or community trust. Additional complexities included aligning multiple stakeholders, balancing tourism appeal with cultural integrity, and establishing credibility at both regional and national levels.
Stable Gray led the engagement with a strategy-first approach. We facilitated a structured brand workshop and stakeholder engagement process to align leadership around a shared vision, mission, and positioning framework. Insights gathered from community leaders, partners, and board members were synthesized to ensure the brand reflected both aspiration and authenticity. Rather than beginning with visuals, we developed a robust messaging architecture designed to support identity development, website strategy, tour programming, and future expansion. This work positioned NOVC as a gateway to cultural engagement and economic growth, defined four primary audience segments, established a confident and welcoming brand voice, and embedded economic impact into the core narrative.
The engagement unfolded in phases, beginning with brand strategy and research, followed by identity development, a temporary landing page, a full website build, and aligned marketing collateral. Deliverables included a comprehensive brand strategy report; refined vision, mission, tagline, and unique value proposition; audience-specific messaging; a complete visual identity system; website strategy and development; brochure redesign; tour marketing frameworks; and community engagement materials. The final website now serves as NOVC’s central hub for tour bookings, charter services, event space information, economic impact storytelling, and public engagement.
The result is a clear, unified, and scalable platform that positions NOVC as more than a tour operator—it establishes the organization as a catalyst for cultural preservation and economic revitalization in North Omaha. With defined messaging, aligned stakeholders, and a professional digital presence, NOVC is now equipped to attract regional and national visitors, increase charter bookings, strengthen small business engagement, and expand its economic impact while remaining rooted in the community it represents.
